I haven't been seeing Koukal's name a lot lately. And I think Abian has been in relatively good form, hasn't he? If I were a betting man, I might fancy Abian in a bit of an upset
Koukal has been fighting cancer recently, and according to some articles he has recovered. I saw him at the Austrian International Challenge last month and he seemed to be doing fine. I also saw Abian there and he seemed to be in a good form, as you say.
You get Court 1?? I'm stuck with Court 4, which you now apparently also have. Court 1 get's all the good matches . I think all are working, I see Court 3 supposedly has 34 viewers right now but I also get the maintenance page ... Court 1 has been giving me an "off air" message instead of the maintenance one ,,,
Oh really, that is ubfortunate for Koukal. If he is playing, that must mean he's in good shape. What type of cancer?
Some articles don't say, and others just say "in the urological region". Maybe kidney cancer, although most don't recover some easily from that, or testicular cancer, but calling the testicles "urological" is a bit of a stretch.
The industrious Sozonov managed to outlast Hsueh to win 23-21. Anything above the shoulder is hit downwards hard. I fear Sozonov's "doubles" style might be the undoing of him in the rubber
He managed to force the rubber, 23-21 in the second game. I didn't think he would hold his own when it was 18-15 for Hsueh.
Testicular, but he's already been cleared (obviously) and a few tournaments under his belt. Not a bad performance against Pang at the german open judging by score ...
Jayaram plays the typical Indian game. Smooth around the court with lots of touch and the occasional burst.
Oh well played Jayaram. Defended a high point blank kill at the net and returned it past Sonoda for a winner
If not mistaking I think he and partner became the russian champs last month and also played doubles at the European MTC http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/profile/default.aspx?id=934DC735-EC0E-4B83-820D-CA784F3B931D Indeed, a good watch at the Dutch Open as well ... still "off air" tonight Think I already know who our cheerleader is ...
I almost give everything up when I have a bad cold. To keep playing after overcoming cancer takes a lot of guts, kudos.
