I think if LCW is to win he must attack more (than to defend). In the past, we have often seen how well Lin Dan could attack with his smashes effectively.

Let hope that in this match, we could see LCW smashing, especially with deception involved; to left/right, fast/slow, full-on/sliced, etc, etc, ......

No. Some players play better attacking; some defending. But after saying that, it depends on how the opponents can attack or defend.

If I know that your smashes are not powerful, accurate nor deceptive; and that my defending of smashes is good, I would continue to lift the shuttlecock high to you (hoping you would smash).

If I know that your smashes are powerful, accurate and deceptive; and that my defending of smashes is not good, then I would not lift the shuttlecock high to you (not giving you chance to smash).

Should be ok, 2 or 3. See, kkk s shirt flutters a bit now, so some muscle must have replaced fat! Probably tbh s gonna be the hero.

Let s see if DEN MD gonna win with some help from AE s colour-discriminating officials!

Agree. It was clever, first class sarcasm.
If CB showed the thumb s down, it would be clearly rude. But a thumb s up without the courtesy hand shake is an indirect thumb s down.

    It s elementary arithmetic:

    2-1=1

Hey Chong Wei, why are you posting here ?

Aren't you supposed to be preparing for your match with Lin Dan later?

Or should I say, 'thinking of what reasons to give your fans' for your loss or what injury to tell the press after the match this time ?
    LOL JK.;)

All the best to you man. Although LD has the psychological edge over you, we BCers hope you don't lose so badly to him like in the past. Atleast take it to 3 games.:D

That s rigid instructions , coach.
And don t be misled by LD s slow recovery time in SF. After taking G1, he can afford to stroll and he wants more court time to check out court conditions, which can be a factor in winning.

LD s ' moving tired ' behaviour has misled LCW many times. Just assume LD has enough gas.

I would set the mental mode:

LCW, you realise LD avoids you whenever he has a water lily pad to hop on and carry him away like Thumbelina....Well LD s behaving like a coward ....and what do cowards deserve? No respect.

So when on court, have no respect for your opponent. Treat the coward like dirt.

Once the mental stage is set, all else follows naturally.

yes and with him fully alert on when LD will intercept his deception... I re-watched the SF match against CL this afternoon @ Astro Arena, my guess is LCW needs to be extra careful since CL could be easily confused but LD is a different case... regardless, glad to know he said he's playing more relax during this tourney and got the results he wanted... just like I said before, when you feel good about yourself and in what you do, you'll produce good results. LCW fighting!:D

I dun think attacking is a good option for chong wei but rather the battle at the net ! Whoever win at the net tonite will take the game ! When playing against CL, I did noticed that chong wei reacted very slowly when CJ lifted the shuttle to the back court, he even did some misjudgement ! he can't affort to do this when playing against LD !

I'm so pissed. I get CCTV-4, CCTV-9, and CCTV-News through my satellite dish. Why can't I also get CCTV-5? Do they think Europeans only care about Chinese news and documentaries, and not about sports?!

Quote of the century...never will it be forgotten.
How awesome badminton would be if this is the mentality of the players :)
    Well done!
