    Some good news for Thailand.

    Patipat Chalardchaleam/Nipitphon Puangpuapech (THA) def. Michael Fuchs/Oliver Roth (GER) 13-21, 21-17, 21-17 (45 minutes)

They will face Abdul Latif/Hoon (MAS) for a spot in the main draw.

Did anyone know what had happened to Andrew Smith? I haven't seen him playing since last year IND. SS? Serious injury problem?

I see Nova Widianto and Vita Marissa qualified. At least some consolation for INA. Let's see what Markis Kido and Lita Nurlita can do against Noriyasu Hirata and Miyuki Maeda.

I could not believe it; that all (3 out of 3) INA WS qualifiers have fallen in Round 1 of the Qualifications.

According to Sandy, in this thread, they weren't asking him what players to send anymore. Some PBSI official was deciding in his stead.

Wow. I thought they would try to smash their way out :p

Yes, I read Sandy mentioning it. 2 girls were defeated by SIN, and 1 by TPE. Looks like INA girls have much to work on.
