It is not as simple as that.
    LD just stands on 11th.
3 players should withdraw in order that he can play.
It is possible if Chen Long, Du Pengyu, and Chen Jin all withdraw.

I think 6 other MS players in top 8 (and also Hu Yun who is 10th) will not skip SS Final, except they are injured

Haiz, i dont think so. I believe in Long Chen, he will succeed in SS FiNal.
Super Dan and Chen Jin will not take part in SS FiNal 2010, Tien Minh Nguyen and other will have to opportunities in SS Final.
    Come on Tien Minh

Well, LCW is capable of beating anyone except Lin Dan however I do agree that he is the kind of world no1 that is capable of losing to anyone as well (by surprise).

So, the SS Final is some extra Christmas pocket money that LCW can easily get because LD is not taking part but he will have to be mentally strong. I say he will have to be mentally strong because in terms of skills he is superior than everyone else that is taking part.

After I saw LCW play so close, I wish he will win here. :)

LCW has beaten Lin Dan many times but he failed to beat Lin Dan in major event like Olympic and Asian Games. Many people think LCW is below LD but I think he can match him, only a little lack of nerve in big event

As always, the entry in MD is the strongest and most interesting so far, with the top 8 pairs ALL COMPETING in the tourney (barring any last minute withdrawal).

The grouping may look like this:
Group A - Ko Sung Hyun/Yoo Yeon Seong [1], Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [4]
    Group B - Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen [2], Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae [3]

    The other pairs:
    Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun
    Zhang Nan/Chai Biao
    Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu
    Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan

If the separation of pairs from the same country are applied, Fu/Cai and Zhang/Chai will be drawn in different groups (just like Jung/Lee and Ko/Yoo).

    The most salivating prospect:
Boe/Mogensen, Jung/Lee, Fu/Cai, Kido/Hendra - this will ultimately be the group of death. Jung/Lee vs Fu/Cai for the 5th time in 2 months! All pairs are seeking for revenge in one way or another: Kido/Hendra looking for theirs against Fu/Cai and Boe/Mogensen and to extend their winning record against Jung/Lee recently.

    In the other group:
    Ko/Yoo, Koo/Tan, Zhang/Chai, Fang/Lee - yet another match between Ko/Yoo and Koo/Tan.

I think KSH/YYS is a real threat for the title, apart from the 'usual gang' of MK/HS, JJS/LYD, CY/FHF, KKK/TBH and MB/CM. We have 6 main contenders for the title here. Chai Biao/Zhang Nan and Fang Chieh Min/Lee Sheng Mu will be the dark horses and they can upset the other pairs. MD, really the most interesting event!

    off topic:
..imo, only if LD allows it; at the end, LD, himself, will dictate whether he'll win or lose..

The best thing about the SS Masters Finals

    .
This is the best thing about our SS Masters Finals, when all our top SS players (with their top SS ranking points) are invited to participate.

Yet I am afraid that in every sports, it is actually this "little" difference makes the real difference between the best and the second best... :D

Absolutely ! Both players are actually very all-rounded. LCW defence is magnificient while LD attack is awesome !
