As a German with Germans fighting for SS titles I am proudly open the Finals thread:cool:
What will happen - Germany 2 titles while INA gets only 1?
Anyway, first of all lets enjoy the matches!
No news that my cheers belong to the man who only misses a SS title in his collection of victories. After gifting the title last weekend to the hosts - now after Peter lost the semi match it's time that Taufik ends up on top of a SS event , good luck.

Even 1 title for Germany would be a great achievement! Let's hope for some good matches!

it's still not promoted properly. Before the last Olympics there was a little more since the Germans did put some hopes on Lady Xu - but that did not work well, so there is nothing on tv anymore, also in the news papers you can not find anything - in some areas in the local news. It's simply a mess. German league is quite ok - we have some good teams, but almost set up with international players like Uncle Wong and Kenneth playing for Berlin (beside Juliane Schenk). Going to baddy places it looks like it gets better, more people play, but it needs a huge effort to push it. Nothing we can compare with Denmark, and also the Brits are doing much better job regarding Baddy. So it's still a long way to go. In the newspapers of Sunday they didn't say anything, 99,9 percent of the people here do not know who LCW or LD are, they even do not know who Taufik is, it's a mess, people stick to that boring soccer - 120 minutes and the result is zero - zero sometimes, crazy world!

I just want to command that bold sentence. everyone has their interest pals...;). you can't push others.
but you are right as long i live in germany, many people dont concern about badminton, even i ever met one german girl who didnt know about badminton? how to play it?..was shocking for me.
was thinking. where this girl came from?..hahaha... it's ok.. everyone has their own interest..;)

Your ideal outcome would be 2 titles for Germany and TH winning his first SS and I would be happy for you too. The MD title would be very difficult unless the German pair are able to cut down on their unforced errors.

Taufik should nail this one. Maybe without having to sweat. ;)

Go Germany!! I'm pretty thrilled they've made two finals. Even though I have nothing to do with Germany. I like to see the underdogs do well, as it just means so much more :). And Taufik... please... (maybe I'm contradicting myself about the underdog thing, but Taufik really does need at least one SS title). He's always been popular at the French Open, so it's a great place for him to win it!

JP was very aggressive in the his SF match against PHG but he appeared to be troubled by some sort of back injury in the rubber game. If the injury is dealt with satisfactorily, then he should give TH a hard time in the final match and maybe even win the title which he wants very badly now that JOJ has already landed one.
MK/HS were again a disappointment losing to the unseeded German pair of IK/JS and I wonder what is troubling the number 2 seeded pair.

Not really, but would love to see the favourites lose and not get back-to-back titles yet again!
