It will be interesting to see if Mak/TWK can match (or even beat) Boe/Mogensen... BOLEH... :)

Looks like Mak/TWK still got much to learn! Very disappointing defeat to me... :( I hoped that they would at least drag this one to a rubber...

All the talk came to nought..MHC-TWK still has a lot to learn..especially playing against higher seeded players, seems that CPS-LKW is more capable of creating upsets

MHC/TWK looks really young...I mean i know they are young at 20-21, but they didnt look confident they could take on the top pairs. MHC made more errors than TWK, but overall whilst their defence was ok, their attack esp their smashes lacked the power of KKK/TBH to do the damage. Also, I thot the 4(?) service fault calls affected them a bit.
But, given the necessary exposure (to more SS series) I think they will come good.
Now, i need to watch CPS/LKW in action...

Mathias BOE [1] / Carsten MOGENSEN beat Hee Chun MAK / Wee Kiong TAN: 21-16 21-12 (43min)

It shows that our elite backup MD pair still got some catch up work to do... BOLEH...!!!

    Confidence issue again...
And Mak still got service faults? I thought it should have been spotted from the Copenhagen Masters when he was faulted at least 4 times too.

its ok, they are still young and give time, 2 years

    wow..we may have another kkk/tbh..

losing to the 1st seed of the tournament is not that bad.

No one can replace KKK/TBH, definitely not the way they rose... I think very few players can rise as quickly as them. Mak/TWK still need to overcome their confidence issue, as stated by markchan. They simply don't believe that they could beat top players. And that is the first step if they want to defeat top players. I think KKK/TBH is an exception, players like Mak/TWK will probably have to slowly improve to bring themselves up to that level, like Ko Sung Hyun/Yoo Yeon Seong.

Hee Chun-Wee Kiong beaten in the quarter-finals

ODENSE: Malaysia’s challenge in the Denmark Open badminton tournament ended when the sole surviving men’s doubles combination of Mak Hee Chun-Tan Wee Kiong lost in the quarter-finals at the Odense Sports Park on Friday.

Youngsters Hee Chun-Wee Kiong found top seeds Danes Mathias Boe-Carten Mogensen just too hot to handle and they went down at 16-21, 12-21.

The 20-year-old Hee Chun said they were frustrated that they could not sustain their tempo in matching their opponents and allowed them to rake up the points to win in straight games.

“We were excited that we were up against a highly rated pair. Going into the match, our main goal is to gauge our strength against them.

“Although we stayed competitive before going into the break, the Danish pair showed better maturity in preventing us from troubling them. They stunned us when they kept on returning our attacking shots,” said Hee Chun

National men’s doubles coach Rosman Razak however said it was a good outing for the young pair.

To be fair, they had a reasonable outing here,” said Rosman, adding that they are aiming to groom Hee Chun-Wee Kiong to become a more accomplished pair to challenge for honours at major international tournaments within the next two years.

MHC/TWK disappear already, left GWS/TKS. Looking forward to GWS/TKS's possible rematch against MB/CM, hope they pull the rug this time!
