Japanese players failed in two finals here, lost to Russian pair. All final matches finished by straight-sets except WS which spent almost 1 hour. Congrats then to all winners :)

Don't be too shocked if that happens. Sayaka can sometimes play very well, as seen by her performance in the DIO. She managed to beat Zhou Mi, Yip Pui Yin and Ana Rovita. She has some nice shots in her repertoire. If she can move around the court faster and take the physical aspect of the game, then I think she'll be a really formidable player

Yea, I thought it was disconsolating that she lost. But she seems to be quite happy in the photo
I hope they can win a major event before she retires from badminton

I really like this Russian pair. Plus one of them is quite pretty :p. Valeria Sorokina is a excellent net player while Nina Vislova like to play at the back of the court...:)

Pretty is overrated. Kawaii is more appropriate ;). Many people say Reiko is pretty but I prefer Kumiko anytime. And having seen both in real life my opinion hasn't changed so far :p. Next year "Demo & Nina visit Amsterdam" pics [IMG]

Videos ... maybe. Will see what the loot is this year [IMG]

Even if she's not as pretty as you imply, she's DAMN cool!

Yes, first time really shooting dslr. Just went manual ISO1600, 1/500 mainly @ 2.8 since the A and S mode seemed to freak out beforehand a la casa. Unfortunately D70s isn't very good at high ISO :p. Plus this 80-200 is the old kind with slow AF ... Still have more but Photoshop can't read the Nikon RAW (.nef) and the plugin says it's incompatible . XnView can but converts to 8bit jpeg which I have used so far but takes ages to load a file so looking for an alternative.

    - Ahh, very good! Welcome aboard the "baddy tourney photo taking aficionado" club!
    - Another option, it's the lens. Try different (faster) lens, if you can find them, if the body isn't good at high ISO.
    - There should be a photo editing/software which comes with the camera. I usually use a different program, one that comes with the camera, to convert the RAW files.
    - Yes, RAW files can take a while to download and load. What's your computer speed??..:p
    - An alternative? How about jumping ship to Canon? (more variety in lens selection)..;)
