Oh eagle, didn't know you are into guys who have the 'prosperous' looks. Not a bad 'choice' I would say, those guys remind me of big teddy bears .
Only the face . Better than the others, after K.Lee, Ronald S, current ones plain looking. Indonesia.....hmmmm, Simon S is about the best already. China...nahhhh, not interesting other than the muscles. Taiwan... Harry Potter is cute cos of his glasses, other wise..... Msian male players also, reasonably good looking just a handful, but none striking. Denmark got handsome one, the WJC Now you know eagle's high cute standards for the guys, lol.
It appears to me from this post, the Malaysian media are very good at attacking the individual sportspersons. Maybe they would be doing the country a favour by presenting more objective criticism of the bodies, i.e. BAM, the sports ministry (maybe?) etc. I always think, everything trickles down from the top; the fact that there is not enough top-class talent that is funneling itself through the system should be the No. 1 worry; if there were, we wouldn't be talking so much about the success/failure of one MS and one WS player, both of who have been on the circuit for many many years, and have served their country and sport with distinction and courage beyond question!
Wah, eagle, I didn't know you re into guy gazing... How about our Derek Wong, he's a Singapore original.
SIN just know when to lose WD Gold :crying:Is there a better opportunityWe know it and you(SIN) know it:crying::crying::crying:

Sailing: SingaporeSailing bank on Wearn Haw TODAY 01 December 2010 0746 hrs By Tan Yo-Hinn SINGAPORE: After a search of almost two months, SingaporeSailing will appoint Tan Wearn Haw as their new chief executive. Wearn Haw, who returned to sail for Singapore at last month's Asian Games in the keelboat event after a five-year absence, will occupy one of the most high-profile seats among the 64 national sports associations (NSAs) in the country. "It's definitely an honour (for me). It will be a big task but it's great because I enjoy challenges," he told MediaCorp on Tuesday. "It's also a way for me to give back to the sailing community as I was one of the first few batches of kids (then) to go through the (junior sailing) programme started by the likes of (former president and current International Olympic Committee vice-president) Mr Ng Ser Miang. Sailing has given me many experiences." Wearn Haw succeeds Australian Andrew Sanders, who left the post in February. SingaporeSailing is one of the highest-funded NSAs in the country and, since 2004, has produced 17 world champions in the junior and youth classes, as well as a combined 18 medals, including seven golds, from the last two Asian Games. Crowned Sportsboy of the Year in 1993, Wearn Haw studied in France and the United Kingdom under a Public Service Commission (PSC) scholarship. He competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics as well as professionally on the World Match Racing Tour and America's Cup. He will see out his role as a sports officer at the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and SingaporeSailing are in discussions with the ministry on a release date for him. The search for a new high-performance chief to succeed Mark Robinson, who has also decided to move on, continues but SingaporeSailing president Dr Ben Tan believes Wearn Haw is the right man to helm the NSA. "He is an accomplished sailor in a variety of classes, from single-handed, double-handed, windsurfing, keelboats, America's Cup and mega-yachts to extreme 40 catamarans," said Dr Tan. "His extensive sailing credentials, strong engineering training, development as a PSC scholar and work experience in the MCYS, Singapore Sports Council and Singapore Sports School equip him with a unique skill set that is ideal for the job." Details of his plans will be finalised soon but it will be aligned to "The Next Leg", a six-year blueprint unveiled by SingaporeSailing recently. Said Wearn Haw: "For me, it's about adding value into sailing. That will be my key priority." - TODAY SingaporeSailing chief executive Tan Wearn Haw (TODAY pic)
Singapore has got better and better at Sailing . It's great that Singapore has got better and better at Sailing. In a way, I am not surprised; because Singapore, like Australia, is an island surrounded by water .
We are waiting for Loh to post pics (from Singapore) . Loh, We are waiting for you to post pics (from Singapore) in this thread located at; http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...mas-2010-and-Happy-New-Year-2011-to-all-BCers!!! .
Sure, in fact I was thinking about it after looking at your thread earlier. It won't be a "White Christmas" as in Japan or Canada but Orchard Rd, our tourist shopping belt, is beckoning for me to return to take more pictures of its famous bright lights and festoons! Unfortunately it has been raining of late and I am waiting for the right time to take my shots!
Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006 I just stumbled on some pictures taken some four years ago. A group of us BCers met at Melbourne to celebrate the occasion. Unfortunately I did not meet up with Chris who perhaps did not join BC yet. How many can you identify and name?
L to R Pix 1 = Yellow t-shirt, was here during 2010 TC, can't remember his name, Chris, no idea, Loh, no idea. Pix 2 = LCW, Loh Pix 3 = Loh, SN? Ha ha ! What's my score? Failed?
Aiyah...you very disappointing lah. Three of them in Pix 1 came down to KL to play the friendly match BC Foreign against BC MAS you also forget. I will not forget the 8-1 trashing by you guys! Think harder lah or at least ask your friends! Please don't embarass our "Down Under" friends.
Here are some of our BCers' names in the photos . Yes, I can name everyone in your photos. I wasn't able to be with Loh and group at the 2006 Commonwealth Games because I was involved with the Northern Ireland players as their full-time coach. It was like work everyday during the event, and I couldn't find time to socialise with Loh and gang. Almost all the BCers (in the photos) have been quiet lately (other than Loh), therefore I am not surprised that you have failed to identify them. Anyway, here are some of our BCers' names (included in the photos); * kong-19 (AUS) * BadFever (AUS) * Kim (AUS) * FEND. (AUS) * Hagane (AUS) * Maz (AUS) * adelina76 (NZL) * Loh (SIN) .
100/100, spot on! I think BadFever is more active in BC, followed by FEND.,than Kong, Kim and Maz. Hagane's whereabouts is unknown although I thought he might be overseas judging from one of his rare posts in the forum some time ago? We do see Maz in person in KL for the important tournaments like the TC but our lovely Adelina remains unusually quiet. Maybe as a lawyer she has to be more observant than vocal in public? BadFever, Kong and Kim were in KL to represent the BC Foreign Team. Maybe if Chris-ccc was with us, we might score another point to reduce the deficit to 7-2!
