Sorry, OT... but if anyone has been following the Chilean mine rescue, the first of the miners has emerged out of the capsule. Amazing scenes, highly emotional. Puts sports into perspective, doesn't it.

CEH is still not up to par to pull the rug from the England pair in my opinion.

    Bronze Medal Playoffs :
    MS - P. Kashyap
    WS - Susan Egelstaff
    MD - Hendra/Hendri
    WD - Wallwork/White
XD - Yao/Chayut - not sure if CPS/GLY recovered from their defeat after being on the brink of victory to secure a gold for MAS.

Quite a miracle for Chile. But it still takes two days to bring out all 33, if there are no glitches.

Read about another "miracle revelation" today. It seems that Jwala Gutta has proclaimed that she and her partner is the best WD attacking pair in the world. Wonder what Yao Lei or the Chinese, Korean, and Taipei brigade would say to that ......

Let's see if their super attack can beat Singaporeans. I actually was okay with Jwalla Gutta until the Commonwealth Games, and now I start to dislike her a lot.

    Malaysia BOLEH...!!!
I dont think this Indian pair can beat even the No.10th pair in China... the standard is way way way below the world WD class...To me, this is only a "masakmasak" tournament... BOLEH :)

It's only one half. The other half is okay.

    Why?

If it is true that she divorced Chetan (or vice versa), then it could be the mouth that caused a lot of damage. Chetan is an unassuming, quiet guy. No wonder I saw him alone working on his lap top at the Singapore Open and I was wondering why he was not with her (ex-) wife (?).

"we do not want to lose to the Singaporeans" said Wong Pei ty of MAS, who partnered CEH beat Li yu jia and her partner(uncle Loh will remember that match) to catpured the SEA games gold 2005. WPT and CEH along with WMC are the best women shuttlers in the history of Malaysian badminton.

yes indian pair is still weak but so is sari shita and her partner of SIN( disregard the one SS title without CHN pairs and of course Singapore's nemesis WPT/ CEH). BTW, xing aiying well, what else can we say plenty of times already given to her but no achievement. My favourite Thailand's Ratchanok who is a talented and a 'natural' not to mention she is much younger than XAY of SIN;)

I would say Koo is partially at fault. He was trying to kill the shuttle by himself, didn't realize that he could have used Chin's lefthandedness to advantage. This is what happens when players get to practice XD with each other only once a week.

The Singapore pair played to each other's strengths, right down until their loss of composure when serving at the final third of the rubber. Probably due to fatigue and pressure.
