The orange shoes the Frenchies use is called Babolat Shadow, the players sponsored by Babo use this one..
Orange for men, and the female one is somewhat blue-grey-white

yes that's Johannah Lee. She's well known in S.Korea and still remembered by coaches and players. When I was on the floor shooting I can see the younger S.Korea player's coach talking to her.

    Day 4 - Misc. pics..

:p..whatchoo mean by very distinctive difference in style??..i mean we're shooting the same action sport, same people, @ the same venue, no??..you mean i like to shoot more food pictures, is it???..:eek:
hah, actually the only difference i notice is the camera type>to an extent different lens(es) (he's using your old fave brand Nikon and i'm using your new, *akhem* preferred brand Canon)..;)..i didn't do much difference from this yr to last yr's (same set-up & everything). Only difference is, i'm cropping the pictures more while maintaining the original quality..

Btw, our Daylightkiller did all the shots for Day 3, Day 4 and will be Day 5..so, give him some credits as well!

anyway, here are a few Misc. pics from Day 4 - QF Round..(shot with my trusty P&S camera/camcorder :p)

Is Lady Pi wearing the same Babolat shoes as the men players??

The crowd during the late matinee matches..

And the crowd during the evening matches..

    Juliane looking focused..

It was only 4 pm when i saw someone chowing down on this sandwich..

The Nippon cheerleading squad led by none other than our own BC kakinami (left)..

Kim Ki Jung and Shin Baek Cheol...sitting separate but the mind is together as seen by the following 2 pics..

    JPN WD players..

That's Yuichi Ikeda's racket's strings being cut into teeny-eenie pieces..

The 2 ex-CHN national players, Jiang Xuelian on the left & Ms. Pi on the right, talking about the good old times??..hmm..

    Anyone wants some sushi??..

Yuichi likes it thin & tight....but not too tight like master Pete LSD's preferred tension..

List of players' preferred string and tensions..has anyone heard of Oliver strings brand??..

    Marinello & Overzier warming down..

    No, she's not Reiko Shiota..

This is the scene during the MD match, between Chen HL & Lin YL vs. Ellis & Langridge, where the CHN TPE pair complained abt that controversial call late in the 1st game..

No, it wasn't a bad stringing job which caused this damage..rather a rackets clash..

    [IMG] [IMG]

..and upon a closer look..has anyone seen this racket model before??..

    [IMG] [IMG]

Ellis & Langridge after the close & hard fought match..

Ctjcad I dunno why, Lady Pi ever wears the orange model....It may be related to his foot, maybe the orange one suits her better and feel more comfortable...?

    Errrm ... dibs? :)

:D Great work as well. Perhaps you can throw in some even more upclose shots in there of the various (moving) body parts; head only, feet only, etc. ... racquets only

The broken racket, is a Victor Explorer 68, I believe it is Shon Wan Ho's racket of choice.
