hehe, as expected, u had lots of fun there, chris btw, whose car did u sat on the way to genting highland from the pic?
..yeah, that's BadmintonCentral.com's bus.. ..yeap. All the fruits sold at the Petaling Market range from Rm5 to Rm10/kg or package. They even sell 6 pieces of freshly opened durians for Rm5. Too bad i didn't buy it.. ..cool, how many durians did you devour? did you eat them in East Coast M'sia or in KL?..you should try and eat and enjoy all the tropical fruits before you go back to Canada. Rambutans, lychees, mangosteens (to counter durians), durians...Did you try a lot of local East Coast M'sian dishes?.. Btw, you're back in KL? how's the trip to Perhentian Islands?..i bet you must be very tan now, eh?..i probably can't recognize you if i see you.. ..that was on the way down from Genting. We rode in suetyan's car...i'll have a video of that ride uploaded soon>very fun.. ..why?..is it because you're not in any of them??..actually, if you look carefully at the Genting trip pics, i got a pic of you in there..
Chris, I devoured 2 of 'em durians. Pretty rich in flavour but worth every one of the calories consumed. Perhentian was great! The snorkeling was worth the trip alone as we saw sharks and turtles. Of course the corals were gorgeous as were the millions of fish swimming among us. . People were so friendly, both locals and guests, and we had a fantastic, fun last night. I think I got a little darker but there was this one patch on my back that I couldn't reach to apply sunscreen that got burned. I felt it when I went for a massage today, haha Hope you're recovering from your jet lag. I suspect I will feel the same when I return. Off to Beijing on Thurs. In the meantime, more fruits, more durian!!
Hehe, you'll be happy to know I have sampled said fruit on my trip thus far but still doesn't compare to durian... I'm kinda addicted to durian at the moment
..you should stay in M'sia til mid June and then travel up to Penang..they'll have a durian festival there-eat 'em to your heart's content..
I guess I am among the minority of South-East Asians who dislike durians But I do like mangosteen. I think they refer to it as Ang-Moh Durian in Singapore & Malaysia
Day 17-As we say "Selamat jalan & Sampai ketemu kembali"...*cry*.. (last few pics).. Leaving KL...at KL Sentral waiting for the KLIA Express and on the way to KLIA...the trip took abt 20-25 min., much faster than taking a taxi and cost even cheaper, only Rm35 for 1 way.. Another story to tell. During my wait @ KL Sentral, i saw Edwin Leung, the photographer from HK. At first i didn't notice him. But after looking back and looking at him closely, i realized it was Edwin. I was abt to call his name, but decided not to. He definitely looked tired, but still was holding his Nikon gears in his fingers.. At KLIA abt to board to S'pore before the long haul back...as usual, the trip back to U.S. took less time than coming to M'sia, with the help of a strong tail wind (only abt 16-17 hrs of total flying time in comparison to just over 20 hrs of total flying time going to SE Asia). The last & rest of the food pics...these could be found in M'sia, but tasted them outside of M'sia.. Stingray with spicy sauce..mmmm..dessert is durian paste w/cendol & cincau mixed ice..mmmm.. Hainan chicken rice.. Bah kut teh.. Fried noodle w/egg & soy sauce.. Variety of grilled chicken on skewers..
..well, that's what i got..A bah kut teh s'pore (food court) style.. ..i think he meant, S'pore style (food court) hainan chicken rice...yah lah, the ones from M'sia taste better lah (eventhough i didn't try at all)..
Let me know many lbs you have gained from the Asia trip. Hehehe.. im sure you are very sick of Satay now..
