MAS scratch MD2, played good. But against CHI MD2, win is not like ly.

I would prefer if MAS field the ZL/Fairuz. Fairuz got his lesson already.

I think i heard Razif Sidek said on the commentary... the reason ZL/Fairuz lost is because they dont have the BIG SMASHES to kill off their opponent... that's why HTH was called in to BOOM last night...

Allow me to disagree;). It was the other way around, from my observations:p. HTH was more focussed on the mission hence was the leader of the two. HTH deceptive wrist work troubled the Danes many times and opened many opportunities for the Malaysians to finish off the rallies in their favor. Poor finishing cost them many precious points.

on the contrary, i feel that Hoon doesnt have a lethal smash as he is a front-court player during his WJC-winning days with TBH. through-out the match against the veteran Danes, 95% of Hoon's smashes were returned comfortably. The final moments of the tight first game gave much evidence as Hoon had to smack repeatedly from the front of the court before killing off the rally.

hope Hoon and Zakry iron out their on-court confusion on Friday as they were caught out of position quite a number of times by the experienced Danes.

most of u might not know... TBH is a front court player in his junior days... HTH is the back court bomber...

I agree that HTH was better though Zakry was not too bad himself. When Zakry found that he couldn't kill off the rallies, he starts trying new ideas that don't quite work out instead of being patient. HTH, on the other hand, gave too much respect when the Danes lurked close to the net.

With Jonas Rasmussen's legendary service problems, the Malaysians could have applied more pressure at him at least.

Initial movement of both players were slow and that's why they cannot kill off Danish flick serves.

yup, HTH's smashes lacked power at the base court and couldnt trouble the Danish's defence.

it remains to be seen.... based on yesterday's match, Hoon was more effective at the front. but still no match for Paaske at the net, tho.

please allow me to say my point of view again
    i had said before this(after lyd/jjs defeat)
hth and osh have nothing special except defence
thats why u guys are saying that his smash is not killing;)
    but he is focus enough
see how he ready for receiving the service
he is more calm than zakry
i will give the unforce error statistic after i watch the video:)

Congratulations for Malaysia winning Denmark. Just like what the coaches predicted, it would turn out 3-2 either way, and Hafiz comes in to save the day, although probably it was JP who saved the day.

I still felt sad for Wong Choong Hann...he tried his very best, but the Astro Arena girl still wanted to interview him after a very hard loss...

HTH fight like a tiger and i saw him single handled the DANES few times...
he got the KKK style of play...tricky but not so fancy...
even Rexy pay tribute to him and say HTH is fearless and have a good fighting spirit
definitely better than Zakry and Fairuz..the only flaw in the partnership is experience

For a scratch pairing, they managed to take the All-England champions who were in about average form all the way, I salute them.

also he is overweight and slow in recovery after smashes, danes saw that and send cross court replies to all the smashes resultign in HTH runiing the baselines like a bee. but good net cover though
