I think we can conclude this thread with a definite answer that Lee Chong Wei has indeed delivered at the All-England Open. What makes it even sweeter is that it's the 100th edition of the AE, quite a memorable one for him to win as his first major trophy!

The next major trophy to win will be the World Championships in Paris. He will definitely be seeded 1st and it now depends on whether the fully-focussed and fit Lin Dan will be his opponent there

No need, If Tago can maintain consistancy in his magic net touch, even Lindan need to be concern

Lee Chong Wei finally done it! I'm proud of him, and I like Tago for being sporting.

Tago actually deserved the win, but Chong Wei's experience pulled him through.

LCW finally delivered on the biggie. Just not quite as convincing due to nervousness. In this sense, he would have probably played better if playing against big names instead of against Tago.

Having said that, since he has delivered anyway, it would release some of the pressure on him which could allow him to focus better in other major finals.

I am sure that as a Malaysian, you are also happy that he at least has one Major Trophy in his career. Whether or not he can win the next one is another story....

I'm sure LCW would have won in the end but at 20-18 in the second game I think, the line judge was rather unkind to Tago when he called LCW's last shot 'in' when the replay clearly showed it was "out" of the baseline. This deprived Tago a point and a chance to fight for deuce.

However the sporting Tago did not argue and allowed LCW to celebrate his victory on court. I'm sure we'll see more of Tago in the future. :)
