i thought the national coaches just praised KKK attitude and recommended our junior to follow his style... Learn to be LCLY as KKK!
Joining this late... but aside from improving their mental attitude , each player has at least one thing to improve upon. For KKK, he has to avoid those useless between-his-legs and behind-his-back shots that he so frequently tries to do unsuccesfully when he is smashed at. Instead, he should use his backhand to defend. Rexy should penalize him every time he does that, so that he won't do that unless he really really is out of position for his backhand. For TBH, he simply has to improve his smash returns. He is the weak link here, and the other top ranked MD players like to exploit this when playing against them.
All England: Doubles have fighting chance http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/iwdns/Article/index_html:eek:
Rexy puts his money onKien Keat-Boon Heong http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/68REXO-2/Article/index_html
Rexy is certainly putting a lot of trust on them. I hope KKK plays seriously. If the two of them are seriously and as commited as the other top 4, I think they have a rather fair chance at the title. "We have discussed strategies when playing against potential rivals and even Tan Kim Her gave his input on how to handle the Korean pair." - Rexy Good to see those two working together. Rexy is very optimistic in that article.
I sure hope Rexy has corrected KKK's bad habit of not using his backhand for defence, like trying to hit shots behind his back or between his legs instead of using his backhand, and also going into a crouch forehand defence position instead of using backhand. If he doesn't try these low probabiltiy shots, then he's rocking! And as a pair, if they avoid lifting to their opponents like in the past that they end up mostly defending, then they will do well.
Yes, it would be interesting match to watch imo. Since TKH already gave some input on how to handle the koreans, it would be interesting to know the outcome of the match though.
Good efforts from the coaches ! But, dont just focus on Korean pairs only,...those lower rank pairs and uncles pairs also looks dangerous to them...... and dont forget MK/HS....
Their main rivals should be Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan, Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae and Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng. For the rest of the pairs, KKK/TBH will only lose if they are in mediocre form or are simply not playing seriously. I think most of the times they lost against weaker opponents are when KKK is playing fancy while TBH is not smashing. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm not sure But yes, there are several pairs out there who might be a threat. Among them is Marthias Boe/Cartsen Morgensen
Among the juniors Cai Biao-Zhang Nan is the pair to be watched out...this pair have been improved tremendously...they have given KKK-TBH a very hard time during MO.
Agree.. i watched them play in several tourneys already and found that they are improving day by day and are beginning climb up to the top of World badminton. Great job from Zhang Jun
Yup.They would be the rising star to take over from Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng after the latter's retirement.China is having a slight edge (in terms of junior pair) in mens' doubles department. At the moment we don't see any outstanding junior pair from MAS,DEN,INA & KOR.
if you read detailed analysis here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81975&page=4 you will know that how wrong your statement are.... and you should rejoice as MAS MD future is good...
Kien Keat believes players using All-England to impress their coaches http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/3/10/sports/5822923&sec=sports “Some of them are here to impress their coaches and to win tickets for the Thomas Cup Finals ... so they will not be holding back their punches,” Kien Keat said after sweating it out at the National Indoor Arena here yesterday. “There could be some new faces at second doubles and this could make it quite intriguing. “Some may be playing for the first time in the team event and it will be interesting to see how they will cope with the pressure.”
