These two shuttlers meet again. What a shame its already in the quarters as I would have made a bet that these two would have got to the final if they were in different halves. Gade knocked out Xia the KO winner easily 15-7 15-12 which gives an indication on his current strengh. For Lin Dan we already know what he stands for and destroying Sony 15-9 15-1 puts fear in every single players heart. But again a shame that these two will battle now as I think they are the best and most consistent at the moment.

    Lin Dan-Gade 70/30
    Bao-Roslin 60/40
    Shon-Susilo 55-45
    Chen Hong-Park 65-35

I think you are about right in your predictions, wassurprised how quick gade beat xia, thought xia might have had "orders" to tire gade, so easier for lin, what is the world coming too> am surprised when no chinese team orders!!

I think Roslin will beat Bao, roslin will frustrate him too much.

If he had got orders then he would have tried to take Gade into a 3dr set and as seen on the result I just think Gade was better today

i quite agree with the percentages. maybe even higher chance for Roslin as Bao will get nervous when every shot comes back to his end of the court.

Roslin is the ultimate master in defence and mental game.

lin dan is dominant at the moment - it would be, in my opinion , good for the game if peter could win this time - however it will take a superhuman effort from the dane -roslin/ bao is also a very interesting game -a win for roslin would possibly prevent 3 of the 4 ms semifinalists being chinese which may improve the spectacle

I think Roslin is not that mentally strong, at least in 2002 Thomas cup, his mental strength was completely destroyed by Hendrawan, he was so nervous even hit and missed a shuttle sent back by Hendrawan's clear.

Lin Dan has been very impressive, I actually expected him to win 2002 world champion. Even since I watched his play at 9th China National game final, I was convinced that given time he would be a superstar one day. Looked back at 2002 Thomas cup, he was 3rd single in China team, and he did not lost one match. It is a pity that China lost to MAS without even sent him up. He got some problems when IBF changed back to 15 point system, but after he adopted to it, it seems like he is somehow above the rest of the MS players.
(Not many MS players can get that many champions consecutively) He is from my province, maybe I am biased. But I certainly hope he will stay as a superstar, so MS would not be a chaotic way as it was. And I really enjoy watching his play, and he is so young, maybe he can win Olympics back to back.

I'm sure Roslin lost his mental strength during the Thomas CUp Finals vs Hendrawan. I know he have learned his lesson and he is now mentally stronger than ever. As BAM has already hired a good phsycologist for the team.. he has benefited from it.

Maybe he is relaxed and feels he has nothing to lose in his final year.

I heard that Gade is one who is always under a lot of pressure and gets nervous easily.

Possibly part of Lee CW or even Hafiz, too much expected of them.

Its proven that Gade need to work in his fitness and stamina to play against LinDan. He has the mental fitness over LinDan.. great fighting spirit. But his body just can't move as fast.
