Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/Angga Pratama progress to the QF after beating Jacco Arends/Jelle Maas in 3-setS: 21-7, 19-21, 21-14.

Meanwhile, Suci/Tiara are still engaged in a tight-match, after Della/Claudia lost narrowly to the MAS pair 20-22, 20-22.

Both Evert Sukamta and Andre Marteen lost in 3-sets

You mean this batch of juniors eh? There are some ethnic Chinese but not as good results as Iskandar or Syawal. So, some have left for further studies after their SPM(O Levels) last year.

I've observed that every year, they only promote 2 MS to back-up, so....this batch anyone not on par/better than Iskandar & Syawal very little chance. + they also have to compete for slots with Misbun's son, Ramdan.

Last yr's juniors(2008 batch) promoted to back-up were Goh Soon Huat, Kuan Kam Chong - I think same batch with Mak/Teo. From Arif Latif's batch = Lim Fang Yang. All of them now training under Hendrawan.

Chen Xiaojia vs Siti Anida Lestari Qoryatin
Good jod by Siti Anida, fullfill her seeding, but she has very bad record againts Chen Xiaojia

    Mitani Minatsu vs Porntip Buranaprasertsuk
Mitani will win this..but Porntip still has chance..

Ratchanok Inthanon vs Anna Rovita (hard to predict)
INA beater in Vietnam International Challenge has bigger chance, but Anna beat her in last AJC

Suo Di vs Tee JIng Yi
Suo Di go to SF, CHN will have 2 medals from GS..

well just came back from the hall. well the Malaysian juniors played well though someof them lost.

XD- Lai/Ow- played aggressively with less mistake. deserve to go quater.

GS- Sonia played well today and it is unfortunate she could not capitalise on it. She hold the lead at both half time. Lack of experience and some simple mistake cost her the game. Unlucky in her draw but good for her.

Tee- expected to win this tie against the HK gal.- difficult to say whether she could win against Sou Di.

BS- Zulfadli came prepared just like Sonia but still have not reached the junior maturity to handle Tian yet.

Ramdan- expected to win this tie.

Iskandar- Played well in the 2nd and 3rd Game. Pisit have problem to played rubber game as his fitness is questionable.

GD-disappionted that Ong/Lai lost their double in the semi to the Vietnamese young pair. Lack of quality shots and mistake cost them the game.

Lai/Ng- good game- Hui Ern is impressive. She is fast.

BD- disappionted with Goh/Pang game. well we still have one pair. Lets hope for the best tonite.

    2nite malaysian in action:

XD- Lai/Ow vsLu Kai/Bao we stand a chance in this match though China may have a slight edge, we have the home crowd advantage. hopefully we win.

GS- Tee/Sou Di- Not tested but i think Sou Di have better skill and ball control. if Tee are able to use her smashes effectively she could win. This match favour China

BS- Ramdan vs Tian ( china)- difficult for Ramdan to win this match.

Iskandar vs LI (china)- Iskandar should advance to Semi.

GD-Lai/Ng vs Rodjana/Sapsiree(Thai) good chance for semi for Malaysian Pair.

BD-Ow/Chooi vs Kai/Yu (taiwan) good chance too for Malaysian.

QF matches to be played tonight from 6pm.

    BD
Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/Angga Pratama [1] vs Shohei Hoshino/Akira Kobayashi [5/8] -- the tough match will start now and it's not gonna be easy against the Japanese pair.

Mohd Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan [5/8] vs Lu Kai/Liu Peixuan [2] -- the first real test for Ulin/Berry. Can they beat the second-seed and hopefully set up an all-INA Final? We shall see.....

    GS
Chen Xiaojia [1] vs Siti Anida Lestari Qoryatin [5/8] -- Siti Anida has fulfilled her seeding. Just do your best!

Ratchanok Intanon [5/8] vs Ana Rovita [3/4] -- one of the match of the day! I dare not predict as the match could go either way. I do hope that Ana can win at least a bronze medal!

    GD
Suci Rizki Andini/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah vs Bao Yixin/Luo Yu [2] -- the INA pair has done well in reaching QF. No expectation on them.

    XD
Nipitphon Phuangphuapet/Artima Sarithmmarak [9/16] vs Angga Pratama/Della Destiara Haris -- a tough match for Angga/Della. Angga need to conserve his energy for the more important BD match later on.
