Febby will lose in her first match....sigh....thanks to the worst-possible draw (as the 2nd-seed) pitting her with 2 CHN players right from the start.

yes!!! My friend Suo Di defeated the 2nd seed Febby Angguni 18-21, 21-17, 21-13!!! :D No wonder yesterday when I was chatting with her she said she has confident. Good job and well done Suo Di. It is more difficult to play against teammate Deng Xuan tomorrow.

Chen Xiaojia [1] vs Elysabeth Purwaningtyas -- first real test for young Elysabeth against the hot favorite.

Siti Anida Lestari Qoryatin [5/8] vs Ozga Bayrak -- shouldn't be a big problem for Siti Anida. She should fulfill her seeding and face Chen Xiaojia in the QF.

Miki Takagi vs Ana Rovita [3/4] -- a tricky test for Ana. I hope she can win.

Well well...tough matches in BS R32 later tonight:

Mohd Misbun Misbun Ramdan [5/8] vs Ary Trisnanto

Mohd Ismail Mohd Syawal [3/4] vs Andre Marteen

Tough for both Ary and Andre to win the matches. They will join Febby Angguni.

Only Evert Sukamta probably has a chance to progress to QF. He has to beat Dmitriy Balandin first, followed by possibly Shohei Hoshino in R32, and then Emil Holst [5/8] for a place in the last 8.

I hope Evert can be INA's sole survivor in the last 8.

Evert Sukamta will face Jordy Hilbink [9/16] for a place in the last 16. I think he should be able to beat the Netherland player

I am just wonder how Astro is going to broadcast these two events at one time? Or they just broadcast the WJC for only two hours??

Me too, maybe they will use Channel 816. Also, Astro sometimes don't broadcast all the matches, esp, when there is an overrun, usually the semi final stage.

Both INA GD pairs progress to R16.

    GD R16
Lai Pei Jing/Ng Hui Ern [5/8] vs Ni Made Claudia Ayu Wijaya/Della Destiara Haris -- a tough match for Della/Claudia, I hope they can beat the MAS pair.

Lena Grebak/Sara Thygesen vs Suci Rizki Andini/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah -- I think Suci/Tiara can progress to the QF or perhaps even further.
