Our CCC membership covers all CCC venues

.
Just received some questions via email today, 29-May-2009.
Perhaps we should post them here as well.

Questions:
Would it be possible to just turn up? Or is there a need to book?
Is it possible to move between the places especially if one day doesn't suit?

Answers
:
No booking is required for our Friday session at Waverley because of current lower attendance. But at our other venues where we have higher attendances, booking is required.

Our CCC membership covers all CCC venues. Therefore, members can play at all sessions.

Do we have to be MSAC members to play at CCC at MSAC?

.
Question: Do we have to be MSAC members to play at CCC held at MSAC?
Answer
: No, you don't have to be MSAC members to play at CCC held at MSAC.

However, many of our CCCers who play at MSAC are MSAC members because membership offers many benefits: click here

We are thankful for CCCers who hand in their MSAC membership cards for us to get 10% discount off (one court per card) for our court booking.

Some have already asked: If CCCers are MSAC members, will these members get a discount off our CCC session fee?.
Answer: No, it's too much for CCC to administer. Non-MSAC members are thankful to MSAC members to keep our session fees lower. CCC sessions are not only played at MSAC. We play at other venues, and we wish to keep at a standard fee for all of our sessions.

Most CCCers have agreed with this arrangement. This is great because we keep CCCers as a family of players, rather than treating ourselves different if we play at different CCC venues. By the way, some CCCers do attend all sessions at all of our CCC venues.

Going to CCC at Aqualink Box Hill via public transport

.
Today, Tuesday 21-July-2009, we answered a question regarding going to CCC at Aqualink Box Hill via public transport. It's best to include this question & answer in this thread.

Question: Buses, trams and trains that go to Box Hill; What is the shortest distance to walk to Aqualink Box Hill?

Answer: Checking from the Google Map ( click here ), Aqualink Box Hill is right between Elgar Road and Station Street. Adjust the scale of the map to see better.

If walking from bus stop on Station Street, use Alexander Street.
If walking from bus stop on Elgar Road, use Canterbury Road, then Surrey Drive.
If walking from Box Hill train/tram station, use Thurston Street, then Surrey Drive.

How to stop getting vast number of emails from CCC at Badminton Central?

.
Question: How to stop getting vast number of emails from CCC at Badminton Central?

Answer: Many CCCers found it best to bookmark our CCC Site (click here) and read our threads/posts when they find time.

To unsubscribe from our individual CCC threads, follow the steps below:
1. UserCP
2. Edit Options
3. Messaging & Notification
4. Default Thread Subscription Mode

If you set the 'Thread Subscription Mode' to 'Do not subscribe' or 'No email notification', then you won't be getting vast number of emails from CCC at Badminton Central.

Is my skill level good enough to play at CCC Badminton?

.
Question: Is my skill level good enough to play at CCC Badminton?

Answer: Many BCers may have found that some clubs/groups do require certain skill levels to participate in their sessions. But for us at CCC, we do not discriminate against weaker players.

From DAY 1 at Badminton Central, we have posted this message:

========================

Welcome to CCC Badminton Club

CCC was formed in the hope that it will help more people enjoy playing Badminton

We are proud that we have players from many countries all around the world

and

We are proud that we have players ranging from Beginners to Advanced Level

Our founder of CCC, chris@ccc, insists that we should look after all players, regardless of their skill levels.

========================

We hope that this message is understood for all BCers participating in our CCC sessions.

Cheers... chris-ccc

CCC Badminton: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Greetings,

There have been many questions asked (via phone, email, sms, etc ...) from players wishing to participate in our CCC Badminton Club activities. It is best for us to start this thread.

Please feel free to post your question in this thread.

Our CCC activities have grown quite extensively. To avoid confusion, it is best to deal with one question at a time.

Our kwun has helped to make this thread a sticky. Hope that we will get BCers to read this thread; and not to ask questions which have already been answered in this thread.

Cheers... chris-ccc

CCCers get confused when you say something not related to our separate threads

.
Hi RAYMOND,

Our CCC Badminton: CCC@MSAC Sun 10:00am-12:00noon thread is located at (click on this link below):
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-CCC-Badminton-CCC-MSAC-Sun-10-00am-12-00noon

And read what was posted in that thread over the last 7 days. Info related to that thread is posted there; like the change of Court No. and/or Time allocated for us.

For you, since you are only involved in that "Sunday CCC at MSAC" activity, it is best for you to bookmark that "Sunday" thread, and post in that thread only. Otherwise, all our CCCers will get confused when you say something not related to our separate/different threads.

CCCers get confused when there are too many CCC threads to read

.
Just received this comment via email:

Comment: I am getting confused when there are too many CCC threads to read.

Answer: CCC Badminton needs to have separate threads because we have many different activities, like;
* Sessions held at different venues (like at MSAC)
* Sessions held with different time (for example 7:30pm start, 11:00pm end)
* Sessions held for different events (like Friendly Matches)
* etc, etc......

We start a new thread whenever a new activity/event starts, which is different from other activities.

CCCers need to read only what we are interested in;
* Some are for Coaching/Training
* Some are for playing in Social Games
* Some are for playing Friendly Matches
* Some are for playing in Tournaments/Competitions
* Some are for buying discounted tickets for tournaments
* Some are for buying Badminton gears
* Some are for Social Functions, like Karaoke, Dinners, Lunches, etc......
* Some are for new BadmintonCentral members questions, like 'When you could not post at Badminton Central after registering'
* etc, etc, ......

Whenever a new CCCer reads a thread, always read the first post. It informs us the intention why the thread is started/created.

And then go to read what were posted during the last week. It informs us the latest news of what is happening and/or talking about lately. But always check the date when the last post was made; for it could have been made years ago. ;););)
