I've read many of Peter Gade's feedback of his performance in his tournament, and by reading his responses, i can tell he's in good form and he has a positive attitute. He beat Sho Sasaki, a formidable opponent in two straight sets 21-11,21-12 and he never let him into the game. The score shows he's in top shape, and has his mind set very clearly. Hope he wins his next match against Chan Yan Kit, another formidable opponent but Gade should be able to take him IMO. I'm hoping that Peter wins this, cos i can tell he wants this title badly and worked very hard for this. So go Peter! Lin Dan would be his toughest game yet if he wins his 3rd round 'gainst Chan Yan Kit. He'll need to be mentally prepared and be tactically aware of his game when he plays Lin Dan. It's strange how they allowed Lin Dan to be seeded 5th. Okay so he hasn't been playing in tournaments, but still, it's quite obvious he's like either #1 or #2 no doubt. >< This resulted in having the 'top' players on the top side of the draw, while on the bottom are the 'least' top players. Not saying that anyone is bad or anything, but it's just not balanced judging by the players' recent performances. Chen Jin, seeded #2 doesn't seem to be playing his best, as he seemed to have to work hard for his points judging by his scores against unseeded players. btw, i'm happy to see how Kenichi progresses in this tourney. After watching his game, he seems to be very mature in his game and got to see some very nice rallies in his game against Zweibler, and winning him 21-15, 21-10. He's definately gonna give Santoso one tough time. He beat Joachim Perrson!!! Peace!
You should experiment with a new thread. 1. Go to the Chit-Chat forum 2. Start "New Thread" 3. Post whatever you have in mind 4. Then BC members interested to give their views will interacte with you Go luck and best wishes ...
Chandra Wijaya quite a gentlement i believe From his attitude on/off courts, achievements, dedications and such Btw i think its slightly off topic from the original posters Maybe we need new thread and poll? Or are there already existing one? Oh and btw thanks to @ctjcad for the info bout lady Pi moniker
So far me ignoring this tournament has guaranteed most Malaysian players getting thru So now that I'm coming into BC again, hopefully they won't crash and burn.
Good to have u back, victor.... You been ignoring badminton for so long,.....and MAS also didnt won anything, so please come back with us,....i think its time for you to lead us thru with your 'Reverse Phychology' things here.......see WMC lost already...
I think, realistically, by the end of the day, there will be 4 left from Indonesia... But there is also some chance there will be 6 left...
semifinals Wei-Dan Taufiq-Jin Bad luck for Peter Gade to play against Lin Dan..Anyway hope Peter can beat him.
Are you saying that your presence here is such a jinx for MAS players fate? Well, then i guess you must have lots of enemies here Hehe kiddin ... As for any players who advanced to Round of 16, there must be tougher opponents await them Today i predict most of CHN shuttlers will pull through, While some of INA and MAS will crash and burn But hopefully not too much for INA camp (aside WD maybe)
pretty depressing.. serves to remind us malaysians, how not far we had advanced despite huge efforts... sigh...
Today matches, Round of 16 will started playing at 2:00 PM (local time) Arghh, can't hardly wait any longer :crying: Btw for draws, order of plays and live scores update, here's the link from TS for today matches: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...6051B5-CD7B-4E98-A111-5A927631C0C1&d=20090813 Best of luck for all INA shuttlers!
I want to watch the match at court 2 later!! But stadium astro is broadcasting court 3 right? But i heard the commentator kept repeating the schedule in court 2 last night..
Ching now all the four courts are the show court. If the game features some seeded players, it will be broadcasted.
I think last year when WC was held in KL, no MAS players entered the finals and most of the boleh fans also disappeared unfortunately. Hope this year in a neutral country MAS can do better.
Let me guess, 4 representatives will be TH, SDK, Nova/Liliyana, Simon Santoso. And possible quarterfinal spot, Maria Kristin Yulianti and Rian/Yonathan, seems tough chance for two WD pairs and Devin/Lita.
DD Sports in India covers matches in all courts (obviuosly only one match can be broadcasted at a time). Since they are showing to Indian viewers , most matches are those involving Indian players, but now when almost all Indian players have left for home, I can expect matches from seeded players.
