Funny enough, it turns out that the most competitive tie (in terms of longest duration of play) is between CHN and JPN.

China's weakest field is still in the MD :(

Judging from the score, China may not be as strong this year. The strongest is WD perhaps. I won't be surprised if Indonesia beat them later.

Wrong strategy....as INA should not have fielded the scratch pairing of Mohd Ulinnuha/Destiara Della Haris  It was so close in the GD....with the INA pair losing 20-22 in the rubber-set. We could have won the tie...but well....:crying:

I agree that INA should change its strategy against XD and hope that BS, BD and XD deliver the goods.

Hard luck for INA as they lost to KOR in the XD.
Kang Ji Wook/Choi Hye In [KOR] defeated Ulinnuha Muhammad/Haris Della, Destiara [INA] 21-17, 21-18.

But INA still have a chance to prove themselves in the semis.

From the results in BD, I guess INA still has 2 strong pairs in the individual events.

Now what's your prediction for the QF:

    1. CHN V INA (50/50)
    2. THA V IND (THA)
    3. JPN V KOR (KOR)
    4. HKN V MAS (MAS)

    My prediction in ( ).;)

Yup, three close matches against Japanese juniors despite CHN won 4-1. Chance for INA to stop them, let's see...

Looking the match's duration, Febby Angguni allways play in long time when against LAO & KOR. Did she play slowly or still unhealthy ?
The alternative "only" Siti Anida, Ana Rovita isn't in team.

    1. CHN VS INA
(INA I don't think China will be able to claim the title again. They could have sent a far stronger team. Although INA hasn't impressed me at all, I still think they can beat China.)

    2 THA VS IND
(Thailand did surprise me a bit, as they are stronger than I thought )

    3. JPN VS KOR
(KOR, don't think JPN will be able to stunt)

    4 KHN V MAS
(MAS for sure, I think they have a very good chance to take the title
KHN will not be able to surprise like last year.)

well, this year the teams does not seem to be what it might be.

China struggle with Japan. Probably did not sent their best. Thailand looks very strong and balance. Korea and Indonesia probably the match to watch this morning. with the Korean Young gal won the GS against Febby.

Malaysia is lucky with their draw, should be able to win HK easily. May take on Korea 2moro. Not going to be easy.

this afternoon matches, malaysia will not take chances in their match against HK. they will field their most experience players.

BS: Likely to be Iskandar. I dont think they will take the chance on Zulfadli.

GS. Same. The On Form Tee Jingyi. No chance for Yang Lilian or Sonia.

GD: Same.Likely to be Lai Pei Jing and Ng Hui Ern

BD: this one they might field. Ow/ Hong Kheng

MX: Should be Lai Pei Jing and Ow again.

Don't you think MAS should field Ow only once just to make sure he has enough rest for the finals. In any case I think MAS at their worst should not lose more than 2 matches. :D

In my opinion,Malaysian against India, the performance and stability than yesterday ...
However, the strengths of Malaysian men's doubles, we should not lose ...
Goh Jian Hao's performance is still very unstable ...
I hope he plays well in the Individual event...^^

HK why did not send Wong Wing Ki to participate in the game??
He is also a very good player, but also not over-age ...
