I, jokingly, told CHN team manger that there was a protest outisde stadium against CHN team...he was confused that said: how come?..told him that the gals wanted BCL, not LD...he was laughing so hard...he said jokingly that the reason why BCL did not come because the girlks here are so aggresive..stalking him all the way to hotel....even some were camping inside hotel to meet BCL....he said that Indonesia is the only country that BCL is more popular than LD.....

The Host Country should make visiting players feel they are welcome.

I do agree that booing MAS or other players, even before they play, is not the right way to show the host country's hospitality. It just conveys a rather negative image.

If players are not welcomed, then don't invite them in the first place. But to boo them, especially when they have to concentrate on their game rather than being distracted, is not the right way to display displeasure over the visiting player's country's government policies or unacceptable acts by its citizens.

In this sense ants is not wrong in voicing his concern.

Malaysians are the same. Remember the Commonwealth Games when the Singapore contingent got booed as they entered the stadium. These are signs of immature mentality, sensitive to every perceived slight towards their nation without thinking it through reasonably.

But over the years, I have sensed improvements in mentality in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

It is right..thats why we apologized to MAS players in advance...at the same time...INA people will argue why MAS tortures and abuses INA people when you invite them to work with lower wage and help build up the country....
    anyway...lets put the politic aside...

yeaaah i was there and it was chaotic!!!
it was stated that the selling of the ticket starts at 8am, but oops they forget to mention that starting today, it starts at 12pm.
pshhh so many ppl queue from early morning and being fried there for 4 hours!
and the annoying thing was..the security is not being helpful, they tease us from around 11am by banging the ticket box doors, trying to fool us that the selling is started..man! 'to served the people' my a$$!
oh, one more..you can only buy 2 tickets/person now. hhh there's no info about this before..it used to be 4/person. lots of ppl complaining about this

    i hate those 'calo'!!!

Personally i think the abuses and all the torture is rare. And i do agree we are at wrong here for some Malaysians are not showing good examples. There is still bad hats around. At the same time is there is also many foreign workers both legal and illegal who commits crimes in Malaysia when they are here to earn a living. Still there are bad hats around. As citizens we should do what is right and not let anger and hatred control us.

mcdreamy, it needs hard effort to get the ticket unless you have connection to someone who related with PBSI and tournament sponsor (Djarum). Ticket problem, no surprise...The method of ticket-selling is so conventional, far away from well-organized standard.

    Haiya, still debating that Boo-Yeah?

Come on, don't take it seriously.
    It's friendly banter. Indonesia-Malaysia rivalry.
INA Open in 90s, no such thing like Manohara or Ambalat, but already like that...

That Boo thing is a sign that INA and MAS are still good friends.
    Good friends argue every time.
When they're not in a good relationship, not even talk to each other. ;)

I often watch football matches between clubs/countries with old rivalry, Boo-yeah as well. Local and international alike.

What different does it have, with, say, 'dialogues' between MAS BCers and ahem, Mr. Pemuda? :p
