I heard Mohd Ulinnuha is forming a good partnership in MD with Berry Angriawan. So, Djarum should have 2 upcoming pairs in MD that it can groom, with the other pair being Rizky Yanu Kresnayadi/Albert Saputra.

Seiko Wahyu is partnering Didit Juang in the Tangkas-Alfamart Badminton Open 2008. They qualified for SF in the GGJP Indonesia Challenge (Taruna), while Mohd Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan won the MD title. Mohd Ulinnuha/Jenna Gozali also won the XD title.

Does anyone know what happened to Alan Chan? Did he go to live somewhere else? I was just looking through past NZ Open results and saw him and Chance Cheng and wondered what happened to them.

53 INA players in the tourney!

    Lists include:
Tommy Sugiarto and 9 other MS players.
Fransisca Ratnasari and 9 other WS players.
Rendra Wijaya/Alvent Yulianto and Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie + 8 other MD pairs.
Nadya Melati/Nathalia Christine Poluakan + 6 other XD.
    7 XD pairs.

Is this more like a mass holiday for the Pelatnas 2nd-team and Pelatnas Pratama members :eek::cool: ???

This is more realistic...but...paying US$250 for withdrawal of 20 over players is yet again another unwise move. PBSI really likes to throw their money around.

Hmm... already seen the list, INA probably will bring 4 titles home... WS has Zhou Mi, I think this GP is too easy for INA players.

Not necessarily. The KLRC-based MAS players like Lee Tsuen Tseng and Sairul Amar Ayob + Mohd Roslin Hashim and Hsieh Yu-Hsin have more experience than Tommy Sugiarto. MS will be difficult to win!

WS is basically a Walkover unless Zhou Mi fumbles. Fransisca Ratnasari should progress to the Final.

MD is a battle of INA future pairs: Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie, Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan, and Adi Chrisna Wijaya/Syahmie Syarif Radhitian (if the later 2 pairs also go). Plus the new-combo of Rendra Wijaya/Alvent Yulianto. The only meaningful oppositions will be Chien Yu-Hsun/Lin Yu Lang and Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Hendra Wijaya. INA will be a strong favorite for the title and I hope either Edo/Lingga or Alvent/Rendra can return home with the title.

WD is a battle between Shinta Mulia Sari/Yao Lei and Chien Yu-Chin/Chou Chia-Chi. INA pairs are relatively inexperienced to win a title in WD.

XD is also quite interesting with the TPE and SIN pairs providing the main challenge: Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi, Hsieh Yu-Hsin/Chien Yu-Chin, Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Yao Lei and Hendra Wijaya/Shinta Mulia Sari.

I read in Kompas that all players will be returned to their clubs in November and recruit back after PBSI chosen their Chairman. I think this is the chance for PBSI to re-arrange recruitment system, with promotion and degradation...
