AVP is faster in swing speed. Best or not the best depend on people and play style

What's wrong with newer tantrums like 300/500?

Tantrum is good around the net if that's what you're talking about. Good feel and control.

Tantrum 300 is older than the Tantrum 200ii. It is better at smashes. Stiff shaft and head heavy (although it claims to be even balance) but won't have the fast swing speed you're wanting.

Don't even go near the T500. I had it. Did not like it. A bit too whippy. Hard to get control and power.

The T200ii just felt right for me. But you will need to put in the power for the hard smashes. It is an even balance all rounder racket.

Best thing is to try them out. There'll never be a perfect racket that does everything. I'm using my AVP at the moment. Loving it.

One last question Which one is more powerful? Tantrum 200 ii or AVP?

AVP in my opinion is more powerful. But not by much.

I'd give control to the T200ii. And defence, and ease of use.

Slight. But significant enough to notice the difference

But Tantrum 200 ii is powerful and speedy enough for an advanced doubles player right? And Which one feels better in your hand?

I prefer T200ii. But you may prefer something more heavy hitting. Like lethal 60ii or Ziggler LHI. But they are more singles rackets

Shaft is Stiff and the weight is evenly balanced through out the racquet. So, I guess this would be the perfect racquet for me. Thank you very much Tantrum for letting me know about the racquet!

I find AVP is too flexi compared to Tantrum 300, which seems to be slightly head heavy and stiff. Depends on your preference, if you have a fast swing speed, stiff racket is probably better.
