    Hi,
Did anyone tried to have Etune gromment on non-Etune racket?
My stringer suggest me pop-in Etune grommet on my Brave Sword 12 to add some head weight
Any idea? just dont know whether my racket will become totally head heavy

Just use lead tape. Easier to apply an to modify (with that e-tune stuff you always need to cut the strings to change the setup) an fits on every racket. I've tried to use other Yonex grommet strips on different rackets and they very rarely fit without trimming/cutting them.

i see. Is the Etune grommet heavy? would it make my Brave Sword 12 become a head heavy racket?

In my experience, it just adds more air resistance.

More aerodynamic? I thought the Etune grommet is design for adding weight to the frame

Air resistance is the opposite of aerodynamic.

Second that. Those e-tune bits are pretty bulky and definitely cause extra drag. And no, you do not want to add extra drag (= air resistance) to a racket. Lead tape is adding weight but with almost zero influence on aerodynamics of the frame.

And yes, if you add enough lead tape or any other weight to the head of a BS12, it will become head heavy. Will it play as good as a racket that was already designed as head heavy? This you would have to see for yourself.

Although I would expect it to feel like if you are swinging a wet spaghetti The heavier head on its already pretty flexible shaft will cause it to bend even more when you swing it.

I had both the silver and purple parts, and yeah, couldn't discern a difference. I added loads of lead tape to the Titan, but it felt different. Better off finding a racket that plays how you like without bells and whistles.
