does anyone know which types of feather shuttlecocks have the greatest durability for regular club plays?

In contrast to a lot in life, with shuttlecocks you usually get what you pay for.

victor greens are pretty durable but it's quite pricy. i think the best bang for your buck is the prizm sports birds. they're solid and have a consistent speed. u can order them online at www.prizmsports.com

been playing with the Sosan and have recently tried a brand called MMOA (prounouce moyah - yes, a very different name). the prices are 16 and 15CAD respectively. have found them both to be quite durable. the group i play with are hard hitters and we would average 2 per game (assuming no mis-hits). victor greens are more consistent but as K said, more pricey.

hey!!!! i didn't send that last one...

hmm, not sure which color (i recall there was white and blue color) tube, it was from one of the guys i play with. he is getting a couple tubes for me tomorrow.

during most days i try for 2 shuttles per game using good birds, having good players (although most heavy hitters), not including mis-hits. although we were ready to kill one guy yesterday who mis-hit frequently and screwed up 6 shuttles in the space to a couple games. likely not ask him to play again, that guy has very poor strokes.

i'm at the VRC but playing primarily during the day. was playing the burbs, but quality and quantity of play was sporadic, but still frequent cameron on monday and fridays.

K: where are you?

which nights do you play in particular?

i got the mmoa shuttles this morning - it is the black tube with the red and blue trim. not too bad, they are about on par with the sosan, but not the victor greens. also got a couple packs of mmoa titanium string. will string it this evening and try it out. pretty cheap - 4cad a pack.

The best feathers I've played with are from Aeroplane - don't know if they are graded now. It used to be only 1 grade. They had an excellent flight and very good durability. It could last over a game of doubles. Sometimes the doubles game could last 30 to 40 mins.
