i'm really regretting buying a pair of proace shoes.before that i was using a shb 89.and it felt so shiok.now that i've changed to a proace shoe the feeling is totally different.the cushion i used to feel around my feet are gone.i shall not buy an inferior good next time:crying:

sorry but i think it is ignorant to make that claim based on one bad encounter with another brand. the proace shoes i know of are quite a bit cheaper than the yonexes.so u would expect lower performance somewhat. THERE ARE other brands with decent shoes.hi tec, asics, mizuno to name a few.

if u wanna change from yonex to some other brand, change it to mizunos... lol... i believe mizunos would be one of the very few companies that can compare to yonex in terms to BADMINTON shoes. if ur looking for tennis shoes... those nikes looks nice =P

If you can't afford quality right now, you can always save up for it. I believe that there shouldn't be any compromise when it comes to shoes. One should spend the money for the right pair because, unlike racquets, there is long term health consequences for wearing ill-fitted shoes.

I have been using a number of brands before... Yonex, Mizuno, Hi-Tec, Prince. They all have their trade-offs. Hi-Tec shoes are more durable but heavier, they're designed more for squash or tennis. Yonex shoes are lighter, but they have less cushion and are less durable. Mizunos are abit better with their durability and technology but are terribly pricy. I have recently purchased the Mizuno Smash S1 as they're the only Mizuno baddy shoes that has a US size 10:(. Comparable to Yonex baddy shoes in weight and price, the S1 looks pretty sharp and comfy. Only downside is that they're hard to find outside of Japan.
