Which store in HK did you buy the NS-9K from? Who strung your racquet? How did you transport your racquet from Hong Kong to Richmond? A simple mishit should not brake the racquet that easily.

i bought it from a shop in MK i forgot the name but i was 100 % it was real and the guy there stringed it and i stringed it @ 22 pounds
from hk to richmond i put it in my big badminton bag and clothes was around it
i think that ... its because i dropped it a few times and there might be a small crack and when i smashed it just broke.

because it happend to my friends be4 too there was a small crack but he found out with his 8000 and smashed and same crack occoured

Did you personally carry the your badminton bag as a carry on item?

nope , but it was safely made sure that it was wrapped around stuff so nothing would happen to it

Dropping it might of contributed to the damage of the racket. I my NS77K won't be out here anytime soon. No need to go after the latest racket out there.

Even thou I own a NS9K JP, my own old Yonex rackets rackets which I use, I consider as one of the best.

but yeah.... if the Ns7700 wont be comming out in the next mth i m gonna get my dad to buy the 7700 in hk and then get my brothers girlfriend to bring it back here which is next mth =/ but yeah... i called impulse sport today (richmond Aberdeen) and they didnt even know what is it yet .. i m gonna ask Clearone to see when they will get it but if not ill get it in hongkong .. anyone know the price in HKD in HK ? and where ? and wow... i played cambie school ( richmond ) a couple weeks ago and they had like 20 ppl with nano9000 =/ and my school i m the only one to have it lol

Matt

I would not bother with Impulse, their prices high.

How much did you pay for your JP in HK? The price I've seen for it in HK seems pretty expensive. I gotten mine from Japan which is less than of what HK would sell it for.

Jeffield
11-26-2006, 02:07 AM
about 2000 HKD i thought it was really expensive cuz they had the Made in Japan Edition but the Serial code was ending with IP for 1300 =/
and the one i have ends with the serial code of JP

I've seen ALOT of complaints from people saying their NS9000's cracked in less than 3 months.

I've tried to racket myself (a friends) and I love the thing, but I don't think I'd ever buy one from the amount of complaints of them cracking...

What's your price range for a new racket?

Jeffield
11-26-2006, 11:40 AM
theres really no price range , i dont really care how much it is =/

but really ? i have never heard any complaints =/

but yeah i really loved my nano 9000

Matt

Jeff, it looks like you could of gotten a better if you ordered from Japan. I gotten my JP for 198 USD.

You could order the same racket again if you like. I have several rackets which are the same the same racket at home because mine is discontinued.

looks like a clean break.
Likely due to damage from mishandling of luggage.

Jeffield

and i dont think its my luggage =/
well its alrite ... ill get a new one i guess

Since you got your ns77k from peter, I'll tell you some good shops. Tad's Sporting Goods- www.tadssports.ca (http://www.tadssports.ca) It's one of the cheapest local stores I've gone to.

Try to hand carry the racket, but NOT the cargo. One of my friends work for an importer, and he told me many horrible stories about how goods broke into pieces, due to mis-handling. I know you stuffed the baddy bag with clothes, but god knows what could be next to. If a 52 inche LCD TV fall next to it, good luck.

Myself happen to travel with my gears several times, here's what I do. Use a durable luggage (prefer hard cover), sandwich the racket(s) with tons of clothes/pillow/blanket. Don't laugh, I did carry all these, to protect my rackets. This way, you provide way more cushion compare to a baddy pack with some clothese. ;)

Ouch I feel sorry for you that's an expensive racquet cost's £120 or $236 in the UK. I think the cost would really put me off that racquet and i'm not sure if i'm a good enough a player to justify spending that sort of money on it.

One other thing I have noticed the Nano speed 9000 X is stated by Yonex to be strung at 27Lbs or below and quite a few people are stringing them and other racquet's well above this? I am pretty sure that isnt going to help the life of the racquet. Anyway i'm only stating what I have read and i'm new to this so maybe you guys are more in the know than me.

i'm right now thinking of converting violin or viola case into a racquet bag so i can take my racquet to korea next year when i graduate from highschool. It's a 14 hr flight and i don't think racquetys can last that long unless it's in a hard case.
since i have one year i have plenty of time to think about it :D

Thanks guys... letting me know Yonex's racket is so fragile....

I heard from the forum... but you guys just confirm it....

I switch to Apacs Nano Pro 9900... already.. I love the racket and I have a few crash when I'm playing double with a beginer and my racket is string at 30lbs... amazing. Woven carbon is real strong.

I don't think I will buy another Yonex racket anymore. ... . .

Have fun all....

Hi,
I used to carry about 4 to 5 rackets in carry on bag when I go outstation. Dont seem to face any custom or Immigration problem.;) But to put yr stuff in the big bag and send as cargoes? Wow,,,,,I cant imagine......v come out in pieces, I think.:crying: I had seen how those cargoes handlers handled those stuff. Sometimes u get flying saucers landing:eek:

Any racket can be fragile, you just need to know how to take care of them.

My nano 9k type x also broke just about the same area as yours. I think its the gum metal they used for the elasti ti. It is just sad how fragile it is considering it is one of their expensive model.

If you do put extra effort to protect your racket, do it. It's always better to spend more effort in advanced, then regreat later. ;)

thats really unfortunate may ur ns9k rest in peace, just like to add that its a great racket, you should get another one if u that used to it and love it, i;ve had mine since august soo 7 months about and its perfectly fine, couple paints chips but yah, great racket, people out their dont be scared this racket dosent break easily, this was probably a accident.

Matt

Is it possibly safe to assume there were other things which were not mentioned or in other terms withheld which possibly caused the damage to the racket?

Yup I was able to talk to a kind yonex representative here during one of their racquet sales. He told me next time to contact him, if it is a soft clash, he may be able to help me get it covered by warranty. So with that and a 25% discount I bought nano9000x and nano7700. I am enjoying both but I really love the feel of nano9000x (now i wonder how the nano9000 s) feels like.

My point is if all yonex authorized dealers would always this supportive, the customers would feel secure in buying an expensive investments - racquets

We simply don't know the circumstances behind his broken NS-7700. He is young and should be able to recall the events that lead up to the breaking.

my friend has broken 3 racquets in the last couple mths
while my friend has been using the same racquet for 2 yrs

Indeed, my friends break their NS 8K 9K . . . etc. from clashing. Unless Jeff discloses how he uses his racquets and what they went through, we have no idea why they break.
